Terms of use

Choose Forward, with Morris Misel: these terms were last updated on 5 October 2026.

These are the terms for using Choose Forward at members.morrismisel.com, including Try Mo, the members' room, gift places and anything you buy there. We've kept them as plain as we can. By joining, redeeming a gift code or using the room, you agree to them. The privacy policy sits alongside them and explains what we keep and why.

Guidance, not advice

Who runs it

Choose Forward is operated by Success through Focus Pty Ltd ATF The Miselowski Family Trust (ABN 77 308 291 290), "we" and "us" in these terms. Morris Misel is the person behind it, and you can reach us any time at sylvia@morrisfuturist.com, where Sylvia looks after members.

Who can join

You need to be 18 or over. Membership is for you personally, one person to a room, so please keep your sign-in to yourself and don't share it with anyone else.

What you get

We'll keep improving the room, which means some features will change. If we take away something central to what you joined for, we'll tell you first, and you can leave and keep what you've already paid for until the end of that period.

Fair use and resting

AI costs real money each time it's used, so there are sensible limits. Each month a member has about 150 look-ups with Reese and 3 in-depth research reports, and a fair-use amount of AI use (about A$8 of AI cost). As you get near it, Mo tells you. At that point Reese rests until the 1st, and you can keep talking with Mo in a shorter form. Well past it, Mo pauses chats for you until the 1st.

There's also a limit for the whole room each month. If the room ever reaches it, Mo says plainly that he's resting until the 1st of next month. Your saved things stay put, and you can still send your question to Morris. There are short hourly limits too, so a runaway script can't run up the bill. None of these limits is a penalty; they keep the room open for everyone.

Price, payment and renewal

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Payment is taken by Stripe when you join and then each month or year, depending on what you chose, until you cancel. A founding member's price doesn't rise for as long as they stay a member without a break.

Cancelling

You can cancel any time from "Manage my membership" on your dashboard. You keep the room until the end of the period you've paid for. After that your room is kept for 30 days, in case you change your mind, and then it's deleted.

The 14-day refund

If it isn't for you, press "Not for me" on your dashboard within 14 days of joining. We refund your first payment in full and end your membership. This is once per person. If anything about your refund isn't straightforward, it goes to Sylvia, and a person sorts it out with you. A refund of a session with Morris or of extra deep dives doesn't end your membership. None of this limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see below).

Gift codes

A gift code gives you free access to the room, with no card, for the time the gift page shows (for the Edge and Friends beta, until the date on that page). A code can be used once per person and only while it has places left. Gift codes have no cash value and can't be sold or swapped. To stop codes being guessed, we limit how many tries can be made from one connection or browser, and pause it for an hour after a few wrong ones. When a gift ends, you can join as a member; if you don't, your room is deleted 30 days after the gift ends. We may withdraw a code that's being misused.

Using the room fairly

To keep the room safe and open for everyone, please don't do any of these things:

If you do, we may pause or end your access. If we end it for misuse, we'll tell you why.

Ask the Community: how anonymity works

When you post or reply on Ask the Community, or suggest a topic for the monthly get-together, other members don't see your name unless you tick "Show my first name". Morris reads everything before it appears, and may decline anything that doesn't suit the room.

Your post is anonymous to other members, but it isn't anonymous to us. We keep a record of who wrote what, and we may have to produce those records if a court or other lawful authority orders it.

What's yours and what's Morris's

What you write and save is yours. You let us store and use it to run your room, and for nothing else. Morris's archive, the library, the sheets, the design of the room and the words Mo draws on remain Morris's. You're welcome to use the sheets and pages made for you in your own work.

Our responsibility to you

Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under any other law that can't be excluded.

Within those rights, this is how responsibility works between us:

The room may now and then be unavailable, for example for maintenance or when a provider we rely on has an outage. We'll keep that to a minimum and tell you when we can.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell members by email or in the room at least 14 days before the change takes effect. If you don't want to carry on under the new terms, you can cancel before then.

If something goes wrong

Tell us first, at sylvia@morrisfuturist.com or through "Tell us if something's not working" in the room. We'll do our best to put it right quickly. These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
